Earlier, I read a post from the lovely Lady Smaggle where she revealed her entire jewellery collection. What’s In My Jewelry Box was originally posted by Fops And Dandies and she invited all her readers to photograph their jewellery as well. I think the three of us have some similarities; lots of colour, fun and gumball machine-like pieces. Having a look at all the beautiful jewels and how Smaggle arranges them gave me such a buzz! I think it’s my inner reality-TV lover that relishes in snooping. I hope you get a kick out of seeing them too!

What’s In My Jewellery Box

Necklaces - My favourite pile of (mostly) fantastic plastic crap. I treasure this crap so much.

What’s In My Jewellery Box

Precious jewellery and brooches, some from my Mum and Grandmother.

What’s In My Jewellery Box

Earrings and body jewellery - Not really an earring person but I seem to have collected a fair bit thanks to the convenience of eBay - damn you, eBay.

I need more rings! More! That ring at the front on the left is of two people having sex. How cool is that?! The detail is amazing.

Bracelets - My favourite is my care bear charm bracelet. It brings me joy.

I’m sure a lot of women would relate to the fact that every piece of jewellery tells a story. Whether it be “oh, I got that for only $5! Can you believe that?!” or “I found that at the beach” or “this reminds me of that time when we flashed our knickers at passing cars”. Ahem. It’s funny how the original aim of jewellery was to show the public how wealthy you were, but jewellery nowadays is mainly made from plastic. I love it. And thanks to treasure hunting in thrift stores my inner pirate is satisfied too - Arrrrr! Now I have the daunting task of reorganising all this jewellery!

Big love & free hugs,
