Astrology And Hair Care

Astrology is entirely based on observation. What the beauty-inclined astrologers have noticed over the hundreds of years is that when the moon is in particular signs, certain grooming rituals produce certain results! If you want to know when it’s best to cut and colour your hair, wax or shave, then read on!
The twelve signs of the zodiac are divided into four groups; fertile (Scorpio, Cancer, Pisces), semi-fertile (Capricorn, Taurus, Libra), barren (Gemini, Leo, Virgo) and semi-barren (Sagittarius, Aquarius and Aries). When the moon is in fertile and semi-fertile signs, it’s best to have your hair conditioned and coloured because the hair is better able to absorb moisture. When the moon is in barren and semi-barren signs it’s best to shave, wax and pluck (and from experience, tend to be less painful on these days).
If you want your hair to grow back faster, then have your hair cut when the moon is in a fertile or semi-fertile sign. Or if you’d like your mane to grow back thicker, try having it cut when the moon is in Leo! Roaarrr.
Now if you want your hair to grow back slowly, try getting your hair cut when the moon is waning (after the full moon and before the new moon). If this time coincides when the moon is in a barren or semi-barren sign then it’s a bonus!
Another thing to remember is that certain stages in the moon phase will also benefit your health. Applying a “shedding” regime of some sort – such as quitting smoking, losing weight or removing hair – will also be more successful when the moon is waning or in a barren or semi-barren phase.
You can check out what sign the moon is in at any given time in Lunarium - a nifty little site for the Astrology fan.

Ultimately though, when you have to pluck that stray eye-brow hair or there’s only one appointment time available at the hairdresser – don’t stress! Beauty by Astrology is a bit of fun and you don’t have to strictly follow the hair care tips, but you will notice a difference if you do!
Big LOVE & happy plucking,
