The Power of Online Social Networking

Sites that feature social networks and online social bookmarking are incredibly popular these days. But it’s hard to know which social network is right for you if you haven’t tried all of them. This is why many Internet users find social network reviews valuable. When you read the reviews, though, you may find vastly different assessments about their content. Some people would defend their social media choices to the bitter end. That might be because they were ignorant of the options, so they got hooked on one site without really knowing what’s out there. Many who are asssertive about defending one site aren’t aware of the variations online business networking, social bookmarking sites or sites that offer social networking just for fun. Even some avid social media users don’t know that there are also social networking platforms, like Capazoo, that use small amounts of money per click to pay for people to use and promote their sites.

Many people aren’t aware of the variations between social networks because the features and uses overlap. Sites such as Facebook can be used just for fun or for serious business networking, or both! There are thousands upon thousands of user-driven free online social networking communities, such as New Energy Network, which specialize in focused interests. These sites are really where the rubber hits the road when it comes to social networking due to their emphasis on people’s niche interests. Interests can be as specific as book aficionados, who now have many online communities geared just to them. Social networking websites that feature book reviews, like LibraryThing, cater to bookworms everywhere. Another powerful form of online networking is social bookmarking, which has become very popular. Social bookmarking sites like Mister Wong allow people to save their favorite bookmarks so they can access them online any time. This platform type is also great for people who conduct searches, because searches are greatly enhanced by keyword tagging. The ability to use keyword tagging also is of value to Web marketers, because they know they will lead to backlinks for their sites. A single social bookmark link doesn’t carry a lot of weight but in aggregate, they matter. And with sites such as Digg, if a URL is posted on one of these bookmarking sites that has good pagerank, high Google rankings can result if it is submitted correctly and has the right keywords associated with it.

Confusing the issue even more are sites like Mixx, which allow social networking and social bookmarking. They are quite useful for bookmarking URLs but they also provide a powerful platform for online social networking and marketing. Business and personal contacts galore are just waiting to be discovered on these sites and as a bonus, material placed on them oftentimes ranks well in Google. This combination of tremendous benefits is the reason that Internet marketers flock to them.
